Hola, Amigo 02:39
Hola amigo, canta conmigo Hola Hola ¡Ho-ho-hola! Hola amigo, ¿cómo te llamas? Hola amigo, canta conmigo.

You fought so hard You thought you’d get some rest But this challenge isn’t over here’s another test And it feels hard And it feels wrong Why do you have to go through this while you’re so young? I have a friend who went through this too He asked me to tell everyone and especially you Don’t give up, don’t give up Keep it up, keep it up Fill your heart with all the love around you That will make you strong Don’t give up, don’t give up Keep it up, keep it up It’s OK to cry but dry your tears And sing your song You’ll realize that you’re so strong One day it will be you helping someone, singing this song You will stand up and fall again You’ll understand this is the game You have us all, don’t lose your faith We are your team, we’re here to stay We are your team, we’re here to stay We are your team, we’re here to stay I have a friend who went through this too He asked me to tell everyone and specially you Toma un momento y respira profundo Piensa en la alegría en la belleza del mundo Todos estamos contigo amigo Permaneceremos juntos en este camino Cierra los ojos, visualiza tu futuro Mira, yo entiendo, sientes que hay momentos duros Pero haz como Mario el legendario Que enfrentó al cáncer y venció a su contrario Don’t give up, don’t give up Keep it up, keep it up Fill your heart with all the love around you That will make you strong Don’t give up, don’t give up Keep it up, keep it up It’s OK to cry but dry your tears And sing your song Don’t give up, don’t give up Keep it up, keep it up Fill your heart with all the love around you That will make you strong Don’t give up, don’t give up Keep it up, keep it up It’s OK to fall but stand again and sing your song RAP TRANSLATION: Take a moment and take a deep breath Remember the happiness and beauty in this world We’re all here with you my friend And we’ll stick with you on this journey Close your eyes and look ahead Look, I know, there are tough times But be like the legendary Mario He faced cancer and he beat it!

123 Andrés & Rissi Palmer You are different from me I am different from you But I know the two of us Can work as one We don't always think alike But you know, that is alright There's common ground Lend me a hand Dame una mano Luchemos juntos Tomará tiempo Hay que tener paciencia Si cooperamos Si cooperamos Pese a las diferencias There were people in the past Who thought this just wouldn't last They were trapped Inside their fears We’re so different, that's real But we can achieve this dream Lend me a hand Let's work together Dame una mano Marchemos juntos Tomará esfuerzo Hay que tener paciencia Si cooperamos Si cooperamos Pese a las diferencias despite our differences despite our differences despite our differences despite our differences Dame una mano (Give me a hand) Luchemos juntos (Let's work together) Tomará tiempo Hay que tener paciencia Si cooperamos Si cooperamos Pese a las diferencias Dame una mano (Give me a hand) Marchemos juntos (Let’s march together) Es el momento No perdamos la urgencia Si cooperamos Si cooperamos Pese a las diferencias

When I see a rainbow I can’t help but smile When I see a rainbow In the sky Whenever it starts raining Some people feel sad But I feel so happy I’ll tell you why After the rain The sun comes out Something amazing Can come about Look up, look up Above your head Look up, maybe a rainbow Will make your day When I see a rainbow I can’t help but smile When I see a rainbow In the sky Red, orange, yellow Green, blue Indigo and violet, too This makes me so happy I’ll tell you why After the rain The sun comes out Something amazing Can come about Look up, look up Above your head Look up, maybe a rainbow Will make your day And even though They seem like magic (magic) Rainbows have an explanation Reflection, refraction, dispersion Of light in droplets of water… After the rain The sun comes out Something amazing Can come about Look up, look up Above your head There was a storm But now instead Look up, maybe a rainbow Will make your day Will make your day When I see a rainbow I can’t help but smile

Bullies never win Bullies never win There it goes, there it goes it’s a boomerang Here it comes, here it comes it’s a boomerang There it goes, there it goes it’s a boomerang Here it comes, here it comes it’s a boomerang Yo, Bullies never win, their words float in the wind round and round like a circle ending up where they begin give a smile, get a smile, be nice to your friend and watch your friend be nice to you, the cycle never ends like hands ticking around the clock or spinning wheels that never stop good things come back to you, when given from the heart love, peace and light is what I spread every day See whatever you say returns like a boomerang Bullies never win There it goes, there it goes it’s a boomerang Here it comes, here it comes it’s a boomerang There it goes, there it goes it’s a boomerang Here it comes, here it comes it’s a boomerang Bullies never win Todo lo que digo debería tener sentido Mis palabras tienen fuerza, dirección y contenido Lo que lanzo en este verso lo libero al universo Y como un bumerang da vueltas y ya viene de regreso Ahí viene, ahí viene el bumerang Ahí viene, ahí viene el bumerang There it goes, there it goes it’s a boomerang Here it comes, here it comes it’s a boomerang There it goes, there it goes it’s a boomerang Here it comes, here it comes it’s a boomerang Like a fetching dog, that’s bringing a ball back Your words always return to you Positive or not When boomerangs of words are tossed They travel far, but never lost and come into your atmosphere Now you understand it clear Every word we say Holds a little bit of weight To lift up or breakdown Be careful what you say now Using them for good things Keep it simple and plain Cause whatever you say returns like a boomerang There it goes, there it goes Here it comes, here it comes There it goes, there it goes it’s a boomerang Here it comes, here it comes it’s a boomerang Miro hacia el pasado Reconozco que he fallado Pero de eso se trata, Decir “Yo metí la pata” Hablo desde el corazón se vale pedir perdón Hay que enmendar los errores y tratar de ser mejores Lanza al mundo Energía positiva lo que lanzas ya regresa Es un bumerang la vida Ay, ya viene, allá viene, ya regresa El bumerang, el bumerang dando vueltas Escucha bien lo que digo Con tus palabras haz amigos Es la enseñanza de la vida Lanza energía positiva, mi bien Lei lo lei lei la la la Es un bumerang la vida Andrés un dos tres decía Como soy santiaguera, Te lo digo así de esta manera El bumerang, el bumerang, ya regresa, ya regresa Que ahí vienen un tus palabras Lo que lanzo en mi soneo, es bonito, mirá, no es feo

There are good times There are good friends There is good company There are good nights, there are good days There’s so much good to see But there’s a time that’s gotta come, it always does, eventually So raise your hand, give me a wave, It’s time to say… Goodbye We gotta say Goodbye It’s hard to leave, we were having fun enjoying time well-spent But all good things, come to an end that’s how it is my friend I don’t know where, but I’ll see you soon, of this I’m sure, not if but when So gimme a smile, chin up, be brave, It’s time to say… Goodbye We gotta say Goodbye Oooh, what’s next for me or you? I don’t know But wherever we go We’ll find good things in store For us there too Wherever we go So raise your hand, give me a wave, It’s time to say… Goodbye Goodbye Give me a smile, chin up, be brave Goodbye No es hasta luego Goodbye Hasta la próxima vez Goodbye Volveré volveré a encontrarte luego Goodbye Tú y yo, nos volveremos a ver

It doesn’t matter where you are from if you speak English or Español. It doesn’t matter, there’s nothing wrong, we can all get along. If you speak German or Japanese it doesn’t make any difference to me. If you speak Arabic, Chinese or French we can all just be friends. Hello friend, it’s great to meet you. Hello friend, tell me your name. Don’t let a difference drift us apart. We’re all the same inside our hearts. It doesn’t matter where you are from. You are welcome in my home. We come from different places but we have smiles on our faces. And when we share our names we realize we’re all the same. Brothers and sisters! Hello friend, it’s great to meet you. Hello friend, tell me your name. Hello Hello Hello Hello friend, it’s great to meet you. Hello friend, you’ll be my friend.

20 artists from 10 countries
10 songs, combining Spanish and English
songs that invite families to reflect on hope, solidarity, change, and what it means to be a supportive friend
Ten years ago, Andrés Salguero of 123 Andrés was a recent immigrant to the United States, trying to process experiences that he encountered in daily life.

“One day I went to use an ATM and someone had scratched off the Spanish instructions on it. It was such a small act, but so meaningful, and it made me reflect on other experiences I had had, positive and challenging. I processed those feelings by writing a song, Hola, Amigo.”

The message of Hola, Amigo is more important now than ever. This summer, 123 Andrés is releasing a surprise digital album – Hola, Amigo: Songs of Friendship. It contains remastered versions of Hola, Amigo in Spanish and English, and eight more songs that explore the theme of friendship, in two languages.

Families looking for anthems to counter prevailing messages of distrust, hostility and other-ing will find in this collection songs of responsibility, inclusion and mutual respect.

The album coincides with the release of Hola, Amigo, a children’s book, published by Scholastic, with text in both Spanish and English – the first book from 123 Andrés.

The album features a diverse chorus of guest voices, including Cathy and Marcy, Rissi Palmer, Uncle Devin, Little Miss Ann, Konshens the MC, Suzi Shelton, Verny Varela, the Sugar Free Allstars, Rita Rosa Ruesga, Lea Morris, and Steve Denyes of Hullabaloo Band – many voices and many stories coming together to celebrate friendship.
